Chief Marc Rigberg

 

Professional Career

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Chief Rigberg moved to Sicklerville section of Winslow Township in 1989. After joining the New Jersey Air National Guard Marc joined the Sicklerville Volunteer Fire Company (25-7) and served for approximately 15 years as a volunteer firefighter. As a volunteer he served through the ranks from Firefighter to Volunteer Battalion Chief. In May of 2006 he was hired as one of the first Career Firefighters in the Winslow Township Fire Department. Serving initially as a Captain on the newly formed Squad Company 25 he was then promoted to the rank of Career Battalion Chief when additional firefighters were hired in March 2008. In 2015, upon retirement of the previous Fire Chief, Marc was promoted to Chief of Department as well as being appointed the Township’s Fire Official.

 

Training

Among the Chief’s credentials, he is a N.J. Certified Public Manager, Pro-Board Certified Firefighter 2, Certified Emergency Medical Technician, Pro-Board Certified Level II Fire Instructor, Certified Fire Investigator and Fire Official. Chief Rigberg is on staff as an instructor at the Camden County Regional Emergency Training and involved in teaching many of the disciplines offered there. He also had the privilege of serving in the New Jersey Air National Guard for 23 years including multiple overseas deployments.

 

Personal Life

Chief Rigberg is married to his lovely wife Brooke and also has four daughters Jessica, Stephanie, Karley and Taylor.
